Secure · Cybersecurity

Security that is managed, not merely installed.

Security is an operating discipline, not a collection of products. We run the controls, check that they work, and keep the evidence that proves it.

Most small-business security is a list of products. Very little of it is checked.

Buying endpoint protection, turning on MFA, and subscribing to a backup service are good first steps. They are not the same as knowing that every account is covered, that alerts are read, and that a restore will actually work.

We treat security as work that is done every week: configured, reviewed, tested, and documented, so the answer to "are we protected?" is based on evidence.

What we cover

The controls, and the discipline behind them.

Identity and access management
Who can reach what, granted deliberately and removed promptly.
Multi-factor authentication
Enforced for every account, with exceptions recorded and reviewed.
Endpoint protection and EDR
Protection deployed on every device, with alerts investigated.
Email security
Filtering, impersonation protection, and domain authentication.
Device encryption
Laptops and phones encrypted so a lost device is not a data loss.
Backup and recovery
Backups that are monitored, and restores that are tested.
Security policies
Plain-language policies people can follow, matched to how you work.
Access reviews
Regular checks that permissions still fit people's roles.
Incident-response planning
A written plan that names who does what when something goes wrong.
Business continuity
How the business keeps operating through an outage.
Cyber-insurance readiness
Controls and evidence that match what insurers now ask for.
Security monitoring
Signals from identity, email, and devices watched and acted on.
Installed vs. managed

The difference is whether anyone checks.

InstalledManaged
MFATurned on for most accounts.Enforced for every account; exceptions documented and reviewed.
BackupsA backup product is running.Restores tested on a schedule, with results recorded.
Endpoint protectionAgents are deployed.Alerts are watched, investigated, and closed.
AccessAccounts are created when people join.Access reviewed and removed when roles change or people leave.
IncidentsSomeone would figure it out.A written plan names who does what, and it has been rehearsed.
Cyber insuranceThe questionnaire is filled in from memory.Every answer is backed by evidence you can produce.
Outcome

Security becomes an operating discipline, not a collection of products.

Know where you actually stand.

The assessment reviews MFA, identity, endpoints, email, backups, restore testing, incident readiness, and policies, and reports each plainly.
